Privacy Policy

Your video never leaves your device.

CalmClip does not collect your video, your audio, or anything you create with it. All editing happens inside your browser. Nothing is sent anywhere.

The short version

What we do not collect

We do not collect your video files, audio, transcriptions, captions, or any output you export. None of that data is transmitted over the internet. It never touches our servers because we do not have servers involved in your editing session.

We also do not collect your name, email address, or any personal information. There is no account system, so there is nothing to register and nothing to delete.

How the editing actually works

When you open CalmClip and drop in a video, your browser runs a tool called FFmpeg directly on your device. FFmpeg is what trims your video, adjusts the audio, and produces the final file. It runs as compiled code inside your browser tab. Your video data moves only between your browser and your device storage.

The same applies to AI transcription. CalmClip downloads a small AI model (Whisper) to your browser the first time you use captions. After that, every transcription runs locally. Your voice and audio never leave your machine.

Cookies and tracking

CalmClip does not use cookies. It does not use analytics software, advertising trackers, or fingerprinting tools. We do not know who visits the site, how long they stay, or what they edit.

Third-party services

The app is hosted on infrastructure that serves the page files to your browser. That hosting provider may log standard web server information such as your IP address and which files were requested. This is standard behavior for any website. Once the page loads, no third-party service receives any data from your editing session.

Children

CalmClip does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13. Since we collect no personal information at all, there is nothing special to disclose here.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page. Since we collect no data, any changes would only ever add protections, not remove them.

Questions

If you have any questions about how CalmClip handles privacy, the source code is the most honest answer. Everything described on this page is verifiable by inspecting network traffic while using the app. You will see zero outbound requests carrying your video data.
